Jan joined Ponaman Healthcare Consulting (Ponaman) as executive assistant in 2014. In 2008, after nearly 15 years in the private, non-profit sector, Jan began a new adventure providing administrative support in the healthcare arena, first at Banner Medical Group and then with John C. Lincoln Accountable Care Organization. Her strong organizational skills and focus on details, coupled with her ability to interface with customers, vendors and staff make her a valuable asset to Ponaman.
Jan’s proficiencies include excellent problem-solving skills, communication and interpersonal relationship expertise, and a positive attitude delivered with a friendly smile. Providing multi-faceted support with scheduling, travel planning, organizational and financial management, event organization, strategic planning, staff and volunteer management ensures that Jan plays an integral role with the Ponaman team.
Originally from the Midwest, after nearly 40 years in Arizona, Jan considers herself a natural desert dweller. She holds a Bachelor of Communication Arts/English degree from Judson University in Elgin, Illinois. In addition to her work in the non-profit world, Jan’s career also included stops in commercial and mortgage banking as well as county government. She has been a certified training coordinator and is experienced with continuous improvement methodologies and Total Quality Management (TQM) processes.
Outside of work, Jan is active with Soroptimist International, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls through programs that lead to social and economic empowerment. In addition, she spends as much free time as possible enjoying her six grandchildren.
