Julia Davis joined the Ponaman Healthcare Consulting (Ponaman) team in November 2013. Julia serves as a senior consultant actively conducting and supporting 340B Program assessments and audits and conducting various research and analyses required by Ponaman clients. She writes, reviews and revises policies and procedures, conducts research, and verifies information maintained on the OPA 340B Database. Her experience with auditing includes audits of outpatient pharmacy programs to ensure compliance with 340B Program requirements, and the random sample audits utilizing HRSA’s methodology for safety net hospitals and federally qualified health centers to verify patient and provider eligibility in mixed use areas and ambulatory clinics. Julia also provides significant support for clients undergoing a HRSA audit, including audit preparation and coordination, onsite support and post-audit follow up including the development as needed of corrective action plans. She conducts Orphan Drug Exclusion audits for affected covered entities and analyzes the impacts of GPO Prohibition and Orphan Drug Exclusion.
Julia graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Honors College at the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s in Nutrition and a minor in Chemistry. She is also an Apexus Certified Expert.
As the daughter of two physicians, Julia was exposed to the health care industry early in life. Her life-long connection to healthcare delivery and a strong commitment to assisting others provides a sturdy foundation from which to draw and employ her skills and talents. Julia’s ability to think creatively, in an environment where this skill is highly valued, is a tremendous asset to Ponaman.
